It is serving international street food and in the near future manager Nathan Johnson wants to be able to show people all about what they are eating.

He said: “Soon we are going to get a HP Slates in, which are like tablets, which will have links on to show people where in the world their food has come from and the story behind it.

“I thought it might take a while to get the restaurant open but I’m really pleased we reached our target of February.

“Last week in half term was our busiest time. I’m really happy with how things are going so far.”

As well as enjoying food customers will be able to gaze at the work of local artists in the gallery.

Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio students are set to display their work there in the future.

Mr Johnson said any local artists are welcome to display their work and the bar will take five per cent of any work sold.

A private booth will also be arriving at the venue soon which people can hire out for parties.

Also on offer at the moment are movie nights on the big TV that has been installed downstairs and a reading corner.
