FIRE crews attended a blaze at a flat after it was reported people may be trapped.
Two crews from Darwen went to an address on Hawkshaw Avenue in the town after being alerted at 11.20pm on Thursday.

A crew service spokesman, said: “Initial reports said it was believed there may be people trapped.
"Firefighters arrived at the scene and found that all persons were believed to have already evacuated from the building, however two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus searched the ground floor flat of the property and confirmed that indeed all persons were accounted for.
"They found a small fire on top of a cooker which was already extinguished when the crews arrived.
"They later used equipment to clear the property of smoke."
