But the film session ended with Ashton being arrested after she refused to go home.

Ashton, formerly of Sudell Road, Darwen, but who now lives in Bulgaria, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty and damaging a cell belonging to Lancashire Constabulary. She was fined £125 with £10 compensation, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said Ashton was outside a house on Douglas Place. She told the officer she would not leave until she got her money and maintained that stance even when he explained it was a civil matter and she should go home.

"She refused and was being arrested for a breach of the peace when she began to struggle and lash out," said Miss Allan. "She caught the officer with her foot and then grabbed his groin. She was then taken to the floor."

In the police cell she removed silicon from around a bed.

Imran Hussain, defending, said his client had emigrated to Bulgaria and wanted the money owed to her to help start her new life.

"The debt was over £6,000 and she wanted to speak to the woman who owed her the money," said Mr Hussain. "She wanted to tell her the debt had been recognised by the courts and ask what she intended to do before the bailiffs became involved."
