CROWN Paints Ltd beat out nominees from around the UK to win the award, which is given to the organisation that can best demonstrate a company-wide commitment and proven business case for sustainability.
• The Lloyds Bank National Business Awards bring together many of the UK’s most competitive businesses, to highlight and recognise their specific areas of expertise
• Crown Paints employs more than 1,250 people and has been making paint for over 200 years for professional and consumer markets.
• Crown Paints sustainability strategy, Earthbalance®, continued to dominate business activities in 2014/2015. It was developed to rival those in place in some of the world’s top green companies and was launched in 2008. It’s target is to reduce Crown Paints’ Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 10% for 2015 and 25% by 2020
• The latest figures show that Crown Paints have to date achieved a 6.5% reduction in Greenhouse Gas Emissions against their 2010 baseline
