POLICE in Darwen have pledged to crack down on anti-social behaviour in the Redearth Road area during the weekend.
Resident Joanne Crompton told officers drunks travelling between pubs had been damaging cars, generally between the hours of 10pm and 2am, and called for patrols to be stepped up in the area.

A police spokesman said: “Darwen patrols will indeed pay passing attention to this area during the evenings and weekends.
“We urge everyone to report instances that occur.
“I will make the area’s community beat manager aware of the anti-social behaviour at that late hour.
“I will also contact the licensing officer and ask them to speak to the pubs’ landlords.”
