PADDY McGuinness will perform two warm-up gigs at Darwen Library Theatre later this year.
The Farnworth-born comic, who shot to fame after starring in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, will play in the town on Wednesday, September 23 and Thursday, September 24.
Paddy will be setting out on his first major UK tour in four years when he takes Daddy McGuinness on the road in October.
But first, fans will have a change to see him in intimate surroundings as he tries out material for the tour.

The Take Me Out and Phoenix Nights star revealed that he was hoping to play Darwen in an interview earlier this year and he’s kept his promise by announcing the pair of shows.
Paddy, 41, has also appeared in , and is now a household name thanks to ITV’s hit Saturday night show Take Me Out.
His Daddy McGuinness tour will open in Scunthorpe on September 28 and end at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on February 27, 2016.
