PRIMROSE House Children’s Nursery in Primrose Street, Darwen, has risen from “inadequate” to “requires improvement” in its latest Ofsted inspection.
The nursery had received the worst possible rating in an inspection last July.

However, it had shown some improvement when inspectors visited again in January.
Inspector Donna Birch said: “Staff do not consistently use questions skilfully enough to develop children’s learning and raise the quality of teaching.”
“Arrangements for staff supervision are not robustly implemented in order to raise the quality of teaching.
She also said the nursery was “stimulating and well-resourced” and that “children enjoy warm relationships with staff.”
