AN event to raise money for a Hoddlesden four-year-old suffering from cancer, to receive vital treatment in the US, takes place tomorrow at Darwen Golf Club.

Sam Shaw suffers from neuroblastoma, and his parents Christine and Carl need to raise £250,000 for the youngster to have immunotherapy treatment.

The treatment will improve Sam’s chance of survival by 20per cent.

Wrist-bands for the event, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £5, and children go free.

There will be a raffle, with a number of donated prizes to be won. Tickets cost £1 a strip, or 50p per ticket.

Entertainment will come from a live DJ, and band, with a magician to keep the youngsters happy.

Contact Toni Taylor via Facebook for information on how to buy a wristband.
