'Lottery win' scam warning

POLICE are warning residents in Blackburn to be wary of phone calls telling them they have won large sums of money.

In recent weeks residents have been scammed out of hundreds of pounds after received phone calls from people informing them they had won £50,000.

If people are stupid enough to give complete strangers their bank details they deserved to get scammed, get real folks.

It isn't that long ago that this happened to others in Blackburn.
Obviously some people are not listening to the news or reading a newspaper.
Still, there's one born every minute, as Mr Barnum used to say.
All I get is, calls on my mobile phone, asking me if I want to buy a mobile phone!
