A MAN has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with breaching a sexual harm prevention order and notification requirements of the sex offender register.
Lee Lawrence Wright, 51, of Walshaw Street, Burnley, is charged with failing to make an internet-enabled device available to police when requested, giving police false information by saying he did not have access to children, was not in an intimate relationship, did not have access to internet-enabled devices and only had one bank account.
He is also accused of failing to tell police about him staying at an address, where a child was living, for more than 12 hours, failing to give details of a relationship with a female and contact with children, failing to inform police of the birth of a child as a result of the relationship and failing to notify changes in banking details.
He was sent to Burnley Crown Court and granted bail by the magistrates but prosecutor Tracy Yates lodged an appeal.
