A WOMAN has appeared in court accused of fraudulently claiming she was collecting for a cancer charity.
Burnley Magistrates Court heard how Michelle Reid, 45, of Dickson Street, Colne, allegedly committed the offences in Barnoldswick.
No plea was entered to any of the five counts of fraud by false representation which are all said to have happened after June 16, 2017.
The case was sent to Burnley Crown Court where Reid will appear before a Judge on March 19.
Reid was given unconditional bail by the magistrates.
A court direction was made that Reid must disclose to the Crown Prosecution Service the names and addresses of people she handed money collected for charity to by 4pm on March 13.
