A 31-YEAR-OLD man who daubed his ex-partner's home with paint he also gave her dog a fresh 'coat'.

Blackburn magistrates heard as well as £1,000 of damage to the property Nicholas Walsh's ex would also have vets bills for her pet.

Walsh, of Eldon Street, Bury, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to a kitchen door and by pouring paint over various locations in Bacup and writing on the walls in paint.

He was made subject to a curfew for three months between 7pm and 7am and ordered to pay £1,000 compensation.

He was also made subject to a restraining order for two years which prohibits him from having any contact with Hayley McNeil or entering Pendle Road, Bacup, where she lives.

The court heard Miss McNeil was at the police station reporting the fact that Walsh had made threats towards her when she received a call to say he had forced entry into her home.

She went there with the police and discovered paint had been poured on furniture and daubed on the walls. He dog had paint on his rear and on a tumour.

Gareth Price, defending, said Walsh had gone to the house to recover some of his own property.

"On a momentary impulse he damaged the walls and furniture," said Mr Price. "He is very sorry for what he did."
