AN accident blackspot could have new traffic signals by the autumn.
The junction of the A674 Wheelton Bypass and the B6228 Blackburn Road in Chorley has seen numerous accidents.
Lancashire County Council's Chorley local meeting was presented with a report on a proposed safety scheme for the junction.
If approved, the construction would take about 12 weeks and the lights would be operational later this year.
It comes after a study by the county council into the injury collisions in the area.
