A BUILDING contracts manager is taking on a 16-mile circular hike across the Lancashire moors in aid of Cancer Research.
Steve Taylor, who works for Rok in Westhoughton, sets off from Rivington village today in the Anglezarke Amble.
Steve's participation in the event continues a 17-year link between the business he works for and the annual event. That link was first established by Durose & Gourlay, which was bought out by Rok in 2005.
The walk is organised by the West Lancashire Long Distance Walkers' Association and is in its 34th year.
Steve said: "I've had a lot of support from our Bolton office. Many of them have taken part in the past. I'm delighted that we are keeping up this fantastic, long-term relationship with the event."
Anybody who wants to add to Steve's sposorship can contact him at Rok on 01942 811849.
