Web viewer Stuart Martindale has sent us a dramatic picture of the fierce weather conditions as he travelled to work this morning.
He tells us: "My daily commute takes me from Bromley Cross to Adlington and usually involves somewhat hazardous weather conditions.
"This morning was worse than usual and one that made me wonder why I ride a motorcycle!
"My route takes me into Belmont, then over past the Blue Lagoon and onto Rivington Village.
"Imagine my surprise this morning by finding the road from Rivington (over the reservoir) totally flooded!
"Yes it was raining but it show's just how bad the storms were overnight.
"As I always have a camera with me I rode through the flood and took a shot of a pickup truck traffic fighting it's way through."
