Eatery 'best in country'

A HOGHTON restaurant has been named as one of the top eateries in the county at a recent awards ceremony.
The Sirloin Inn, Station Road, won the Best in Lancashire award at an event run by the Hi-Life Diners Club, which seeks to promote top restaurants.
Owner Wayne Keough said it was a great achievement to win the award, which was presented at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester.
He added: "It was voted for by the people who came to the restaurant and we are very pleased about it.
"It was good to get down to the last five, but to win it was something else."
