A clubber caught in possession of 80 ecstasy tablets has avoided being sent to jail.
Samuel Jones insisted that most of the drugs were for his own use, but he accepted that some would have been handed to friends for free.
The 21-year-old, of Friths Avenue, Hoghton, pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply.
The offence dated back to April this year at the Lava Ignite club in Preston city centre.
He was given eight months prison, suspended for eighteen months, and ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work.
He will also have to pay £240 prosecution costs.
