A PUB worker was assaulted while trying to stop a man stealing bottles from behind the bar.
The incident happened at the Boar’s Head pub, in Blackburn Road, Hoghton, on Monday, August 3, at around 9.15pm.
Police said two men were together in the pub before one picked up three bottles of spirits from behind the bar and tried to leave.
Staff stopped him and recovered the bottles but, during the incident, a member of staff was kicked.
The suspect is in his 20s, thin, spotty, around 5ft 8ins tall, with short, unkempt hair.
He was wearing a black tracksuit. The second man is also in his 20s. Two of his upper front teeth were in a bad condition.
