Dozens of people lent their support to plans for improving Chorley's Covered Market following a two-day consultation in the town centre.
According to the council, traders and shoppers gave their overwhelming support to the project and can't wait to see work start on revamping the layout and design of the Chorley Council-owned Covered Market.

Councillor Peter Malpas, Chorley Council's Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said he was really pleased with the positive response from members of the public on Friday and Saturday.
"Most people really like the ideas we've put forward and now just want to see things happen," he said.
"We had lots of useful comments and ideas that we can try and incorporate into the final designs but it was great to have so much support.
"It was also interesting to hear people from other towns saying that they prefer to travel to Chorley rather than shop at their local market."
The main proposals for the Covered Market include installing new entrances to draw more people into the market, a roof to cover the central aisle and new flooring and layout including a new café area.
There are also plans to freshen up the image of the market when it is closed by designing new shutters.
