A passionate and lifelong Everton fan, he was a football coach at Euxton Villa Football Club, where he managed a girls' team in which one of his daughters played.

Officers from British Transport Police and paramedics attended and Mr Daniels was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident has been referred to the Coroner's Office.

Police have said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
