Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle has slammed developers who leave new estates across the borough in a dangerous condition citing an area in Euxton as a typical example.
Mr Hoyle says a number of the new developments across Chorley and the surrounding areas have been left with sub-standard roads and play areas.
Should developers be made to clear up?

He said: "The problem is that if these developments are not finished to the required standards, then Lancashire County Council cannot adopt the roads and take responsibility for their maintenance and Chorley Borough Council cannot do the same for the playgrounds.
"The playground at Milestone Meadow is nothing short of a disgrace.
"There is bricks and rubble everywhere and this is very dangerous for children.
"Not only could it cause injury, but the youngsters could throw the stones at houses or passing trains.
"Elsewhere in the borough we have estates where the roads have not been adopted and it is wrong because the developers seem to be very quick to sell these houses on but do not complete the work.
"The residents are then left in limbo because no one can do anything about it."
Mr Hoyle is now calling on Chorley Borough Council to enforce planning conditions on developers who leave new developments in an unadoptable state.
He said: "The council needs to clamp down on these developers because we have a lot of new housing estates going up around the borough and they are getting away with not completing the job.
"I have met with the developers and they have promised me that action will be taken.
"But if they do not then the council needs to use its powers to enforce the conditions they impose when permission to build these estates is granted."
Chorley Borough Council has now vowed to resolve the situation.
Donna Hall, the council's chief executive, said: "The site at Milestone Meadow is in a very poor condition and we will be working with the developers and local residents to find an agreeable solution and resolve this matter."
