Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle opened Euxton Villa’s new clubhouse at a special opening ceremony organised by the club.
The £350,000 development provides new changing facilities for the teams as well as allowing the club to expand into girls football and provide facilities for disabled people who wish to get involved.
Lindsay officially opened the new clubhouse in addition to presenting the club chairman, Graham Keyte, with a signed Bolton Wanderers Football shirt.
Lindsay said: “Euxton Villa FC is a successful local football team and they are always looking to attract more people to the club.
“With three full size pitches and 15 teams ranging from juniors to adults, it is only fitting that they have a modern clubhouse which can accommodate their needs.
“Congratulations has to go to Graham Keyte and all the board members who work all-year round to raise funds and ensure that the club continues to be successful.
“The new clubhouse is an excellent facility which will help Euxton Villa remain a valuable asset to the local community.”
