'Blighted' Coppull subway closed off

A subway under the West Coast Mainline railway in Coppull has been closed after becoming a magnet for anti-social behaviour.
Gates blocking entry have been placed at the entrances on Station Road and Spendmore Lane.
Campaigners, including councillor Ken Ball have been calling for the closure of the underpass for several years and a consultation with nearby residents found a big majority in favour of the move.
