Residents in the Clayton Brook area of Chorley are being urged to get involved in the borough's second Week of Action when partner agencies and the council's Chorley Smile campaign visit their area next week.
Over four days, local people in Clayton Brook will see an influx of activity and agencies in a bid to better engage with the local community and clean up and improve unsightly areas.
There will also be enforcement action with a crackdown on anti-social behaviour, car tax and much more.
Some of the services on offer to residents include help and advice on recycling, the chance to get rid of unwanted items in a community skip, fire and crime prevention tips and information on further education and adult learning.
There will also be help with benefits and Council Tax and free health checks.
The Week of Action, which starts next Tuesday, will see the Chorley Smile Community trailer in action, moving around various locations to ensure everyone gets the chance to access the advice and information on offer.
Councillor Eric Bell, Chorley Council's Executive Member for Neighbourhoods, said: "The Weeks of Action have been launched to tackle the issues that matter most to residents.
"The first Week of Action saw an intensive week of activity, which helped improve neighbourhoods for lots of people in Chorley.
"It is really important to work with partner agencies such as the police and fire service and we hope residents in Clayton Brook get involved and help improve the area where they live."
The Week of Action is part of the borough's civic pride campaign, Chorley Smile.
It aims to demonstrate a council pledge to working with residents and partner agencies to keep neighbourhoods clean and make Chorley a safer place.
The aim of the week is to show residents how they can make a difference in their community.
The first Week of Action, held in Chorley East during February, has been hailed a 'huge success' by council bosses with hundreds of people getting useful advice and tips from the community trailer.
