Police warning following car crimes

Police are investigating a spate of car crimes in Clayton Brook area of Chorley.

Police said they were aware of nine incidents and have urged motorists to be security conscious.

In one, offenders approached an unattended silver Volkswagen van on a car park on Clayton Brook Road at about 5.45pm on March 12 and stole a Psion hand held computer, valued at £400.

In another on Daisy Meadow, on March 15, at 2.30am, two offenders approached a locked Mazda, smashed a window and attempted to steal a sat nav machine from inside.

They were disturbed by two police officers and ran off.

They are described as white males, between 5ft 6ins-5ft 9ins tall.

Both were wearing hooded tops, one of which was grey.
