A drunken man who robbed a Chorley taxi driver of about £10 has been sentenced to 18 months custody.

Callum Cheyne was told by the Judge that it was a nasty offence, and he had behaved in a thuggish way.

Cheyne, 20, of Tunley Holme, Clayton Brook, admitted the robbery in May last year when the driver took him to Cowling Brow, Chorley.

Steven Johnson, defending, said no actual violence was used.
