Visitors to Clayton Green Library enjoyed a special treat recently when bug man' Roger Swailes took along insects and bugs to delight an appreciative audience of 30 children and their families (pictured).
Roger gave an informative talk about the creatures, including stick insects, centipedes and a scorpion, and some of the bolder members of the audience were given the opportunity to handle them.
Divisional librarian Denis Whitham said: "We were delighted that the bug man visited Clayton Green Library as part of our family learning celebrations.
"We had many special events taking place at all of our libraries during October and they proved very popular.
"We also hold regular activities for children of all ages, such as baby bounce and rhyme, toddler rhyme times, story times and chatterbooks groups at many of our libraries.
"Just contact your local library for further details."
