A family fun day at Camelot Theme Park in Chorley later this month will raise vital funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Children and adults can enjoy a fun-filled day at the Lancashire theme park, based in Charnock Richard, on Saturday, April 26, for £9.25 each, less than half the usual price, with a percentage of each ticket sale going to the lifeboat charity's £2M Hoylake Lifeboat Station Appeal.
As well as the Chorley theme park's own exciting attractions, including the Knightmare Ride, the RNLI's Stormy Stan mascot and a D class inshore lifeboat will be taking centre stage.
RNLI souvenirs will also be available.
RNLI Area Fundraising Manager, Lisa Cooke, said: "The Camelot fun day should be a fantastic event and everyone who buys our special half-price tickets will be helping to provide our volunteer crew at Hoylake with the best possible facilities for themselves and their lifeboat, ensuring that calls for help from people in trouble at sea are responded to even quicker than ever."
The RNLI Hoylake Lifeboat Station Appeal aims to raise £2M to help provide a new lifeboat station and lifeboat for Hoylake.
The new building will replace a small, aging boathouse designed for 19th Century rowing lifeboats and not big enough to house the next generation of RNLI all weather lifeboat.
It will enable the lifeboat and tractor used for launching to be housed together, hooked-up and ready for immediate launch, saving precious time in a rescue.
The new building will also include training facilities, a workshop, crew room, changing room with drying area and showers.
To obtain your tickets for the fun day phone Camelot on 01257 455030 or quote RNLI Fun Day' at the ticket office on the day.
