Chorley theme park launch for sign language campaign

The British Deaf Association’s annual Learn to Sign Week campaign, which will take place in October, is being launched at a Chorley theme park.

The official launch of the week-long national campaign will take place at Camelot Theme Park in Chorley, Lancashire on Tuesday, August 4.

Special activities will be taking place involving the medieval jousting team, including a British Sign Language interpreted joust.

The campaign takes place October 5 -11 and will involve thousands of school children, groups and organisations all keen to try their hand at learning introductory sign language.

Schools, organisations, Brownies, Girl Guides and other groups are invited to take part in Learn to Sign Week in October.
