Traffic has returned to normal after following an incident on the M6 this morning when a car overturned and crashed into the central reservation.
Two lanes of the M6 southbound were closed and traffic delayed after the car accident just after J27 A5209, Standish.
The incident, which happened during the morning rush hour today, caused congestion at the Charnock Richard Services, near Chorley.
The whole carriageway was blocked for a time but lane one re-opened at about 9.10am.
A woman driver, who has not been named, was released by the fire service.
Her injuries are unknown.
