A woman was treated for shock after crashing her car into a petrol tank at Charnock Richard services, near Chorley, in the early hours of this morning.
The incident, which happened at about 3.10am, was on the southbound service area of the M6.
It is not clear if the woman was taken to hospital.
Fightfighters from Chorley spent half an hour making sure the area was safe but have reported no damage to the tank.
