Dozens of businesses gathered for a special event to mark the launch of high quality industrial and distribution premises in Chorley.
Business leaders from across the North West gathered in Chorley on Thursday to mark the opening of phase one of Buckshaw Link developed by HeliosCity.
Phase One of the development, which includes state-of-the-art business premises ideally located for the North West market, will provide 11 units totalling 120,000 sq ft of prime industrial and distribution accommodation giving a boost to the local economy with the prospect of new jobs in the borough.
Rob Trevor, development director, at Helios Properties Plc paid tribute to the support of Chorley Borough Council for the scheme.
He said: "It was very encouraging to see so many people here today, with 3 units already under offer it bodes well for the success of the scheme.
"We have really valued the support of Chorley Council for the project, and continue to work with them to promote the new employment charter and other initiatives to attract businesses to Chorley."
Spread over 15 acres Buckshaw Link forms part of the award winning Buckshaw Village project which incorporates a wide range of leisure and sporting facilities as well as providing a considerable labour pool.
Councillor Peter Malpas, Chorley Council's Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: "The launch was a great success.
"We had about 60 agents from different businesses across the North West all showing a great interest in the developments at Buckshaw.
"Chorley is an ideal location for businesses looking to relocate with excellent transport links and a skilled workforce."
