Buckshaw youth group in funding boost

Young people from Buckshaw Youth Association are celebrating the news they have clinched a double funding boost for their group.
The Big Lottery have granted them a £5,300 Awards For All Grant and Lancashire Green Partnership have awarded them a £500 grant.
The group has 120 registered members catering for 11 to 17-year-olds living in Buckshaw and operates on Friday evenings from 8pm with 5-a-side football, badminton, snooker, table tennis, computer games and a music zone.
The group will use the funds to add creative arts to the programme and are hoping to create a wildlife garden in the spring.
