Trained negotiators were called to a Chorley village on Easter Monday where an incident involving a teenager on a roof had developed.
Shocked villagers in Brinscall watched as the 18-year-old - who was already under an ASBO - refused to come down.
During the incident, a chimney stack came crashing to the road below but no one was injured. The drama unfolded on New Street around 2am. A spokesperson for Chorley Police described the incident as a "siege situation" adding: "He was on the roof refusing to come down."
The teenager was eventually arrested just after 7.15am.
Daniel Mochan, aged 18, was charged with criminal damage and breach of an ASBO. He appeared at Ormskirk Magistrates' Court today and is due to appear again at Chorley Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
