CHORLEY soldier Jonjo Kerr last night had his X Factor dream shattered for a second time.
The 28-year-old was handed a shock reprieve earlier this week when he was given the chance to be voted back into the show.
The former Albany High School student faced the other competitors who left the show in the first week with the chance of being voted in to replace Frankie Cocozza, 18, who left the show this week.
But 17-year-old Amelia Lilly claimed 48 per cent of the vote, beating Jonjo, 2 Shoes and James Michael to return to the show.
She then went on to sign Queen’s The Show Must Go On.
She said: “I have been so emotional back stage, thank you to everyone who voted for me.”
The four acts were given the chance to return because they had never faced the public vote, with each judge having to chose one act to sacrifice in the first week.
Jonjo was given a sabbatical from his career in the Corunna Company 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment to take part in the show, but he could now be in line to serve in Afghanistan as his battalion is due to be sent there next year.
