Thousands raised for Jessica appeal

Dozens of people joined in the fun to raise money for stab victim, Jessica Knight.

More than £2,000 has been raised following the weekend 14-hour marathon event at The Baron's Rest pub, Astley Village, Chorley.

The money will go toward helping Jessica to fulfil her dream, to swim with dolphins in Florida and going to Disney World.

A host of celebrity guests joined in the fun including Chorley world boxing champion, Michael Jennings, and Chorley actor, Joe Gilgun, who plays Eli Dingle in Emmerdale.

Jessica nearly died after being stabbed dozens of times in Astley Park on January 21.

A man has been charged with her attempted murder.
