A BIKER was taken to hospital after his motorcycle collided with a car in Abbey Village yesterday.

The man was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital after the Norton motorbike he was riding and a red Vauxhall Astra collided around 12.30pm.

He was reported to have ‘serious injuries’.

Witness David McFadden, 45, of Rossendale, who took pictures of the crash in Bolton Road near the Parmesan and Pepper Restaurant, said: “It looked to be quite a serious accident.

"The driver of the car was all right, but the biker was in a bad way.”
