A DRIVER escaped with minor injuries after his car came off a country road, flipped over a wall and rolled down a 10ft embankment.
The driver, a man in his 40s, managed to crawl free from the wreckage of the Renault Megane, police said.
The emergency services were called to the crash in Belmont Road, near Abbey Village, at about 10am on Saturday.
The man was treated by paramedics for back and head injuries and was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
A police spokesman said no other cars were involved in the incident.
