Digging deep for Derian House Children’s Hospice

PEOPLE from East Lancashire are being asked to help raise money to build a garden at a children’s hospice in the county by holding a fundraising event next month.

The charity Greenfingers is developing the grounds at Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley and is raising money with a fundraising week from September 17 until 23.

Deborah Skillicorn, director of marketing and fundraising at Greenfingers, which creates gardens at children’s hospices around the UK, said: “We need to raise between £35,000 and £40,000 to create the garden, which is why we are asking people to help us support their community hospice by taking part in Greenfingers Week.”
