Drums will beat a rhythm across Chorley’s Astley Park this weekend as the popular Big Drum Day returns.
Astley Park’s Walled Garden is the venue for the festival of Afro-Brazilian drumming, dance and song.
The free event features Chorley’s community drummers, Grupo SambAfriq.
Big Drum Day is this Sunday, August 5, in Astley Park from noon until 5.30pm. It features Samba groups from around the North West and special dance performances from Viva Brazil.
Plus this year there will also be a fashion show along a catwalk in the Walled Garden.
