Adlington Community Centre is the venue for a good old-fashioned fun day to celebrate its centenary.
The building which now houses the community centre on Railway Road, started out as St Philip's Sunday School a century ago. To mark 100 years, there will be an afternoon of events this Sunday, April 2, from 1pm-5pm.
The programme includes an exhibition of Adlington photographs and memorabilia from the last 100 years, an Edwardian theme fancy dress, a Punch and Judy show and a magician.
Afternoon tea and cakes will be served by ladies in full Edwardian costume.
