A sheltered housing service has been given the thumbs up by independent assessors.
Chorley Community Housing has obtained three Level Bs in an assessment of its sheltered housing service by Lancashire County Council’s Supporting People team.
Carol Bagshaw, CCH Operations Manager for sheltered housing, said: "We were aiming to achieve Level B by March 2010 .
"We’ve been assessed as Level B nine months early, so this is a great boost for staff and tenants to know that our services are so highly rated.
Carol added: "The review took place on June 2 and 3. It included an examination of our documents and interviews with staff, residents and other agencies that we work with.
"Achieving level B demonstrates that we have improved our sheltered housing services in the past two years and that we are able to provide a better service to our tenants than ever before.”
