A Chorley pub landlady has been jailed for a year for a blackmail offence.
Eva Westland, 49, who runs the Lock and Quay pub in Botany Brow and the Dog and Partridge, Chorley Lane, Charnock Richard, was handed the sentence last month at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester.
She had admitted the offence at a previous hearing.
Licensing chiefs in Chorley are now attempting to resolve the issue of who will run the pubs.
Sgt Tony Bushell, a licensing officer for Lancashire police, said: "We know that the licensee has been sent to prison and so is clearly not in the position to manage the pub day-to-day.
“Both the pubs are still operating and we are progressing with talks to resolve the issue.”
It is understood that relatives of Mrs Westland are in talks to take over the running of the pubs.
