A local cancer charity is inviting people to raise money by taking a stroll across Morecambe Bay.
The Rosemere Cancer Foundation is holding a sponsored walk across the Bay from Arnside to Grange over Sands, approximately eight and half miles in length, taking place on Sunday, August 30 at 2pm.
The walk will cost £10 per person and is open to all ages.
Cedric Robinson, The Queens Guide will take walkers across the bay and between the sinking sand and will be on hand to point out the landmarks along the way.
Ron McAndrew, Events Coordinator, Rosemere Cancer Foundation, said: "We are very excited about this event and are particularly pleased that Cedric Robinson, the Queens Guide will be taking us across the Bay.
"He has years of experience taking parties across and the walk should prove to be an interesting and unusual route. The funds raised here will be a great help to cancer patients from across Lancashire and South Cumbria."
For more information or to book a place please contact Ron McAndrew on 01772 523598.
