A Chorley man is to undertake an emotional bike ride in aid of a charity based in the town.
Phil Hall, 43, will be cycling from Manchester to Blackpool on Sunday, July 12.
The charity he has chosen to do the ride for is ADS, (Addiction Dependency Solutions), who have an office on St Thomas's Road, Chorley.
He said: “A little over 11 years ago a close family member passed away but had attended the centre, and I have always thought what work they did there was very good.
“I have wanted to do something for charity since then.
“The bike ride its is a big distance of 62 miles, but to make it more of a challenge I will be riding from Chorley to Manchester, then do the Manchester to Blackpool ride and cycle back home, making the ride around 110 miles."
Phil will be using the Imperial pub on Union Street as his start and finishing point, setting off at 7am.
A sponsor form to support Phil is available at The Imperial.
