Chorley VIPs unveil Penwortham blind charity's bookshop

Chorley’s MP Lindsay Hoyle joined forces with Mayor of Chorley Terry Brown to open Galloways book shop on Eaves Lane, Chorley.

The bookshop is another venture for the charity designed to help raise funds.

Having opened the bookshop with the Mayor of Chorley Lindsay took the opportunity to look at the books on display and was impressed by the wide variety of reading material.

Lindsay said: “Galloways provide an invaluable service within the local community helping to support those who are blind and visually impaired.

"It is important that they continue to raise funds all year round and the bookshop will help them achieve this.

“People who are blind or visually impaired can turn to Galloways for help and I know a number of residents in Chorley who have benefited from the support provided by Galloways.

"I hope the book shop attracts interest from local residents and I know that they would welcome any spare books which people may feel willing to donate.”
