POLICE are appealing for help in tracking down two men after an assault in Chorley.

Officers were called at 5.15pm on April 28 to reports of an assault on a man in his 60s on Ryecroft.

The victim opened his door to two men who were threatening towards him.

One offender put his hand on the victim’s face and pushed him backwards. A second offender later kicked the man to his shin.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result.

PC Pete Darbyshire of Chorley Police, said: “We’re treating this an isolated incident but are appealing to anyone who recognises these men to please come forward as we would like to speak to them as part of our investigation.

"Similarly, if you saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, we would like to know."
