POLICE closed the M6 Northbound at junction 27 after a car fire last night.
The incident took place at 8.48pm on March 26 and a crew from Bamber Bridge and another from Greater Manchester Fire Service attended.

A Lancashire Fire and Safety Service spokesman said: "Police closed lane one of the motorway and the two crews used a hose reel jet and then left it to get road cleared.
"We are not sure about what the cause of the fire."
