A MAN who helped instil the winning mentality in to England's Rugby World Cup heroes is coming to East Lancashire next month.
Israeli-based Yehuda Shinar is a motivational coach who has links with top banks and has even held sessions with staff at Blackburn Rovers.
Mr Shinar has been invited to the area by the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce to lead a talk entitled Do You Want to be a Winner?'
In 1999, Mr Shinar was approached by Sir Clive Woodward to help him build a World Cup winning rugby team and much of his focus is based on developing a set of winning behaviours for sport and business people.
Tony Faulkner, the physio at Blackburn Rovers' academy, worked with Mr Shinar when he came to the club in 2005 to work with youth team staff.
Rovers were keen to explore the mental side to football, and the study on what makes a winner appealed to Mr Faulkner.
He said: "Yehuda worked with the management and coaches at Rovers to implement how they can make the players think under pressure on the pitch. What he teaches allows people to think more clearly in a pressure situation. He placed emphasis on how to control the negative destructive thoughts so we can stay focused on the task at hand."

Throughout his work, one of the main philosophies he has developed is called T-CUP, which translates to Thinking Clearly Under Pressure.
And banking chiefs claim his theories are ones that could be utilised by East Lancashire business people.
The East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce session takes place on May 20 at the Whitehall Hotel, Darwen.
