Blackburn Rovers fans all around the world need to mark Friday 4th May in their diaries as we celebrate Blue and White Day!

Make sure you show your colours on the day in aid of Blackburn Rovers Community Trust and other local causes as the final working day of the League One season becomes a chance to turn the town, your workplace or your home into a sea of blue and white with shirts, scarves, bunting or whatever you can get your hands on - making a small donation to the club’s official charity in the process for your chance to win prizes.

We are hoping that local schools, businesses and community organisations will get involved and wear a Rovers shirt (past or present) or anything else blue and white on the day.

Supporters taking part will be asked to donate £1 each to support the ongoing work of the Community Trust, which helps them to provide opportunities in education, health, social inclusion and sports participation for our local population. Any schools that wish to get involved will receive a 50/50 split of the total money raised at their school, providing a good way to raise some extra funds for your extra-curricular activities!

Both on the day and in the build-up to the event, we want you to use the hashtag #BlueAndWhiteDay on social media to show your support, and we will retweet and share as many posts as possible via the club and Community Trust’s accounts. There may also be spot prizes involved for the most creative videos and pictures submitted..!

All organisations involved will be entered into a prize draw live on Facebook to win signed Rovers merchandise, while schools will be entered into a separate draw to win a ‘money can’t buy’ prize for their pupils.

It doesn’t end there… Rover the Dog will be out and about on the day, visiting the first ten organisations and schools to sign up to the campaign to pose for pictures, and meet all those taking part!

If your business, community organisation or school would be interested in getting involved, please contact Jess Clegg via jess.clegg@brfctrust.co.uk to sign up.

Let’s show our support for Blue and White Day and create a great wave of excitement to get behind the boys before their final home game against Oxford United!

Don’t forget that any match tickets purchased before 3pm on the day of the final home fixture are priced at just £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and £2 for juniors (normal matchday prices apply after 3pm on Saturday 5th May).
